That's a good shout. Same as Copacabana. Both decent but nowhere near what you'd expected.

Is Bondi highly rated? I'd alsways thought of it as the sort of old school busy beach that it is.

I'd say Copacabana looks incredible as part of the overall scenery of Rio.

Have to disagree. Me and a couple of mates have a load of fun taking the kids camping. You just need to pick the right place. Admittedly it's not amazing when the weather is rubbish.

Yep totally agree, in the right place with the right gear and it's a great experience and really good for kids.

beer festivals (beer is always flat, s***y raffle ticket system)

With you on beer festivals, pay more for worse beer, longer queues and an admission fee also.

Glastonbury

Totally get this!

MUCH longer drive, busier, muddier, longer walk from campsites to car, longer walk to the festival, and a non-specific lineup which generally makes the music choice worse for everyone as a whole, unless you literally have no taste in music and like "anything".

Also, blowing the budget on 6 headliners/ major bands, 5 of which you wouldn't ever pay to go and see under any other circumstance.

Must have been to 20 festivals, and there's nowhere like Glastonbury for watching bands that you otherwise wouldn't watch (as you don't like them).
