What goes on your perfect full English?

Tinned tomatoes just get every other ingredient soggy - yuk. I do like sautéed potatoes or a potato cake with my fried breakfast though. Never any sauces - and butter that sits on the toast (must be an age thing)

2 or 3 Back/streaky or 1 Middle bacon - none of the smoked Shizz
2 pork sausages - the higher the percentage of pork, the better.
Side of beans
1 or 2 hash browns
1 of fried/poached/scrambled eggs
1 slice of toast, lightly buttered.
Don’t need any sauce on, as depending on the egg, and the beans, should be plenty of liquid.

Cuppa golden tea and a glass of fresh bitty orange.

Wait a minute......what do you mean by a 'side' of beans? One of those little ramekins with beans in?

It's no ordinary bacon sandwich all elements have to be in place, bacon crispy, toast well done and small amount of yolk spread over the bacon fold in half and one corner dipped in the brown sauce. Delicious:)
I'm intrigued, if the bacon sandwich consists of almost burnt, half slices of thin white bread - how do you then fold it in half? I'm imagining it snapping uselessly.

2 triangular slices of Doreen’s black pudding
2 runny duck eggs
2 chunky pork sausages (for dipping in egg)
2 steaky bacon
Button mushrooms fried in butter
Slice of fried bread (lard)
Fried sliced new potatoes
A table spoon of Cross and Blackwells Beans
A teaspoon of red sauce for black pud and same of HP for fried bread and………
Absolutely no tomato of any description even in the room

Weird beliefs I've always held which I feel compelled to share at this late hour and which fit nicely into this thread.

You can determine the quality of a self service hotel breakfast by the temperature of the beans and the quality of the sausage. If the sausages are a decent meat and not just a random collection of eyelashes and nostril hair shoved in a Durex and if the beans are hot when you ladle them on your plate then generally the rest of the food and breakfast experience will be decent. I can't abide tepid beans, such a disappointment.

2 options for me

1st is a mix of European ingredients but basically an upgraded english breakfast-

2 organic XL Waitrose eggs fried gently in olive oil

Bubble and squeak

Wild mushroom hand picked and fried in butter

Crispy Bacon

Morcilla (Spanish Black Pudding)

Merguez Sausage

Emma's Bread Multiseed sourdough toasted
( with Normandy butter and seas salt) the very best organic sourdough bread I have tasted which improves up to 10 days

Or for my 2nd choice I'm not fussy about the specific ingredients and comes from a proper greasy spoon I used to go to in Hendon and a few other places

Cheese Omelette
thick cut fried potato chips
Beans
Normal bread untossted with butter on to make chip butties with

Me…

Black Pudding (1 thick slice)
2 Smoked Back Bacon (crispy fat, soft meat)
1 Lincolnshire or Cumberland Sausage
2 Hash Browns
2 Poached Eggs
Tinned Tomatoes
Baked Beans
Mushrooms (fried in butter)
Granary Toast with lots of butter

Tea and Orange Juice

Fatnackerbreakfasttastic 👍👍👍
Take off the black pudding, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms. Swap the tea for an apple juice. Add another sausage and slice of bacon and when abroad, throw some chips on! Britsabroadtastic.

Really didn't rate it there when I went and neither did any of my friends but we had the prickly pear suggested to us which I believe is the same company

Had the full English Parmo there, was really good but had to take half of it home as it was so filling and that was regular size - they also do large and double decker.

Was quite pricy mind

I'm glad I'm still laid in bed looking at that 😛

Nope. Not if you butter the toast this softens it as does the hot bacon. I should have said well done toast rather than nearly burnt. As I said all elements have to be just right. Using untoasted thin bread for a bacon sandwich tends to disintegrate but not toasted. IMO :)
I find half slices more refined to eat😀

2 bacon
2 sausages
Mushrooms
Fried egg
Black pudding.
Stewed Tommatos (strained.
2 slices of toast.

Looking through this thread I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who isn't a lover of Beans on a breakfast. I mean I quite like beans just not on a breakfast unless they're served in a separate pot, the bean juice leaks and pollutes the rest of the food with its beaness.
