Knocked out next round?
A repeat of 97/98?
Winning it?!

I think if it’s Fulham or Chelsea at home we might be able to restrict it to 2-0 or whatever.Realistically?
We're getting knocked out in the first leg.
Already exceeded my hopes so, if I have one wish is that we play the semi at home first. If we take a whuppin at Anfield, Stamford Bridge or wherever I don't want to be traipsing along to the Riverside to watch us "try to overturn" a 4-0+ drubbing.
I definitely can see where you’re coming from and I think mostly I agree with you….but imagine if we got a reasonable result away from home, how fantastic it would be to win the tie outright at the Riverside!
A man can dream..
That was the case in 1998. 2-1 down but with an all important away goal.I definitely can see where you’re coming from and I think mostly I agree with you….but imagine if we got a reasonable result away from home, how fantastic it would be to win the tie outright at the Riverside!

The runner up no longer gets a European spot. It goes to the Premier League as an extra league position.getting to the the final would likely get us into Europe wouldn’t it? Unless it’s Fulham we’re playing.
Ah yeah. That’s a bit rubbish. The runner up no longer gets a European spot. It goes to the Premier League as an extra league position.
I don't think League Cup runner up gets a place do they? I think it goes to the Premier League side if the League Cup winner has already qualified by other means.getting to the the final would likely get us into Europe wouldn’t it? Unless it’s Fulham we’re playing.
