I don't think any contact with Steve Gibson would have any bearing on this case, a legal case. As a forum we haven't been involved at all - how could we? It went to court. That says it all really.
Middlesbrough Supporters Forum. They’re lucky enough to have contact with Gibson but don’t really do anything with it.
Sometime prior to this case RF were invited to a national supporter led discussion/demonstration on pyrotechnics at football grounds along with Middlesbrough Supporters Forum - at which the very real dangers to health and safety to crowd and safety officials in terms of the heat, flames (have own oxygen supply so cannot be extinguished), the toxic fumes were all demonstrated by controlled tests and on film.
We all attended this online. It lasted a couple of hours, with supporters from all over the country also on the zoom call. It was arranged through Football Supporters Association not the football clubs or authorities though the EFL and Premier League were involved from a safety perspective. The dangers and possible consequences were pointed out with examples of incidents and some awful injuries to fans and safety stewards and police.
I wouldn't want to say anymore about what happened in the case or whether it was linked to RF no turn out on Saturday because I don't know anything about it.
