Not WC, olympics but I get your point. The signing side of the club seems a bit detached from the playing side of the club and it been a bit like that since Southgate.
Ref Payero he played for Argentina at the WC - he shouldn't be a rabbit in the headlights etc
Are you really forming an opinion of a player from 20 minutes off football from the bench? And in fairness to Warnock, payero looks shyte
Rabbit caught in the headlights comes to mind !
Hardly being fair on the lad.The signing side of the club seems a bit detached from the playing side of the club and it been a bit like that since Southgate.

Tav is only 70% fit.... when he is consistancy on song we are a better team and hopefully watmore is not long termNot enjoying watching the Boro at the minute they look short of ideas going forward hope Neil can get them up the pitch quicker and add a bit more creativity. If a DOF is there to assess and assist players to join the club then Neil should be onboard. I heard Bolasie put a word in about Sporar when he was at Sporting though so this Dutch lad must be the work of the DOF, if there is conflict this won't end well in future signings.
Agree with that.I consider myself a decent judge of character and I simply can't get a handle on Warnock and what he says. He swings from one day to the next at times so I've found myself placing very little importance on anything he says lately.
one has potentially a resell value and the other has none. I'd rather go for the potential in this case. It's pure speculation on my part but maybe he wanted Hoilett or a player he knows and we've said 'we've found a younger lad in Holland'. So he doesn't know anything about him.
But that’s the whole scenario isn’t it? Warnock is only here until May so it’s not surprising he wants short term comfort rather than build for the future.one has potentially a resell value and the other has none. I'd rather go for the potential in this case.
Really? You regularly see prem mangers saying they have no idea about a new player and often say they have never seen him play in the flesh.
not playing Payero though is heAfter listening to his comments I thought he was p****d off about there being a problem with sporar deal after saying there wasnt at yesterday's press. Kinda like throwing his toys out the pram because he was out the loop on that one and his remark about the Dutch kid meaning the deal is nothing to do with him because the recruitment team dont tell him anything about what is going on, rather than it being a dig at the player.
I'm sure Warnock isnt that stubborn that he would refuse to use a player because he didnt personally recruit him if he was performing. You dont get promoted 9 times by being that petty.
