No, it all depends what Gibson decides.Has ours?
It was slightly tongue in cheek that comment. It hasn’t changed from when we were going to spend £10m+ on Larsen Strand.. plus rumours of outgoings
We were looking abroad.. but look how that turned out. There’s always the danger of arming a competitor in the championship with it being so tight. Gyokores will go into the summer with a year left on his contract and his value dwindling. O’Hare is out for the season with a bad knee injury.. it all adds up.It was slightly tongue in cheek that comment.
I'm not sure that we are in the market for a player that will command such a high fee, plus salary, but I could be wrong.
It all comes down to whether the club thinks it will get a good return on the player, if and when he moves on and both Larsen and Gyorkores are players that fit that profile.
11 Victor Gyökeres £1mBig stumbling block is that Gyokeres went to Coventry with a big sell-on clause.
Brighton aren't daft are they.
If it wasn't for this fact I reckon there's a good chance we'd have already signed him
Anyone know how big this clause is?
Say it's as high as 40%, you could see how Cov would be after £15m for themselves but this would mean a selling price of £21m
