I can’t see it being Chiedozie Ogbene, I can’t see it being Siriki Dembele or a loan from Man Utd.

We are going big in this window and there maybe movement our end too. Barlaser is a solid top performer in the championship, Van Hecke is too. For a real chance we can’t cut any corners and I believe that Coventry need the money. Too much of a risk in the prem to come up with the goods. £8m-£10m deadline day deal is not beyond the realms of possibility..

The days of us paying the type of fee Coventry want whilst were still a champo club are well and truly over, £4-5m will be our celing on any player, not a chance Gyokeres is coming to us

Coventry need money, he’s not going to the prem, can’t see them getting much more on the summer when he has a year left.

Nah, cant see this happening myself, unless some Prem club came in with a crazy offer for Akpom and we needed to replace him. Personally would not want to lose Akpom for anyone we could reasonably get.

Simply not happening. If Cov were to drop their price there is still the likes of Burnley, Norwich and Watford who could comfortably out bid us

Well we're not going to be bringing a big signing in without one going out.
We were bringing a strikers in the summer.. Jorgen Larsen Strand, Alberth Elis that was right up to death. What’s changed since?

Let’s not forget the attempted loans of Hamza Choudhury, Ethan Ampadu & Frank Onyenka none of them came off. Could be that Ardon Jashari is seen in the same light.

a change out for Rodrigo Muniz with Cameron Archer, some unfinished business from summer and the additions of Dan Barlaser and Jan Paul Van Hecke don’t seem too far out.

One of Chris Wilders moments of clarity came from the omission that shirt numbers had been kept free in order to sign players. I wouldn’t be surprised if the plug wasn’t pulled on deals that Wilder had an involvement in tbh.

7 Dan Barlaser
11 Victor Gyökeres
12 Jan Paul Van Hecke
22 Ardon Jashari
24 Daniel Nkrumah

They look like we’ve done some business.. most of which is left over from the summer. a few change outs for releases players and we have a solid window that on paper at least lifts us above the 42s

what price? are they in for him? so many variables involved that it can’t just be dismissed out of hand.

unlikely.. like most transfer speculation. but not impossible.

Last time we spent 'big' on a Coventry striker in January during a promotion push we changed our playing style to suit him and ended up 7th....
