Velogames 2022 - The VUELTA Open for Entries 🇪🇸🚴🏽‍♀️

Well, not entirely predictable. My team is selected for the backloaded GC but I do think not picking MVP was a mistake now.

You have picked Yates which not many have done. Think that might even out the fact that you don”t have MVP.

True. I hope he manages to avoid his customary melt down this year. The last time he had a great opening ITT he flopped. My other regret is going for Ulissi instead of Tullet ... but I figured Tullet would be on full domestique duty later. I expected Ulissi to do better in the ITT. Arensman was kind of my "secret weapon". One or two others have him as well.
I expect to fall further behind today but to start climbing the table from Etna onwards as the daily GC starts to have an impact.

It’s a fascinating game. For a three week tour it’s all about picking up points consistently hence choosing two sprinters for my team. Whether they are the right sprinters is another thing 😬 Oh and finding the ciclimino jersey winner!

I like your team. Think your choice of Yates is the key because he looked supreme yesterday in the ITT. He has improved immeasurably on the TT bike. Indeed I read he was even fastest on the first part of yesterdays course which was flat!

Well done Cav. Two Brits in succession now have won stages. Who said Brirish road is down at the moment and if you add in Ben Tullet - It’s not too bad at all.

The top 5 after Stage 3. Zoo takes over the lead for the moment.

First big mountain stage and the breakaway prevails. The favourites don’t want to take pink too early. Well done the other Lopez.

Yes after the mammoth Monte Blockhaus stage the GC has come to the fore with some significant winners and losers. We have seen Yates lose 10 mins and probably out of contention. The other Brit Hugh Carthy has also blown.

Just 30 seconds currently separate the first 7 riders so it’s the closest I’ve seen for a long while. As it’s the second rest day of 3 here is an update on the table. Yesterdays stage shaked matters.

Simon leads from Zoo and Cardiff.

Biniam Girmay's celebrations on the podium after winning stage 10 of the Giro d'Italiahave turned out to be race ending, with the Eritrean confirming on Wednesday morning that he won't be lining up for stage 11.
