VAR in the championship

Is it coming to the championship does anyone know?

There first goal would of been chalked off in the premier league but in the championship it stands because we don't have VAR. I would imagine it will catch the championship teams out a little going up just because of the physical nature of the championship, taking that into the premier league.

I doubt it will as it’s not just technology line goal line tech etc as they’d need a stockley park style set up as well based separately in a specific building manned by experts refs etc.

can you really see that happening.

Rather than var

I can see a 5th official at the ground style set up maybe being used as a compromise.

With the biggest prize money in football for promotion to the premier league, is there not an argument that VAR should be primarily used in the Championship rather than the Premier League?
I totally agree with that, surely it is time it was introduced into the championship. I mean did Burnley really have that many opportunities at our goal yesterday, that goal which was offside changed the game for me.

The offside goal yesterday and Sheff Utd have had 2 recent 1 goal wins via an offside goal might have drastically changed the promotion race. Officials in this league are absolutely trash. They need all the help they can get.

Yes and you get all the usual nonsense on here that they are a superior side and deserved to win by those who are temporarily in love with the team and manager of the day.

The fact is that offside is offside and in a very tight game the first goal is very important.

Personally not over impressed by Burnley last night, or at Turt Moor for that matter.

I hope so, even if we're not in it as I also hope.

I'm used to the delay and we've had plenty of decisions wrongly go against us this season.

I suppose we'd also have had goals chalked off and penalties rescinded, but I'd accept it.

Prob as well is where would it end as the prem league is a closed shop of 20 clubs that never or hardly ever play in sane day at same time so max 10 games but usually 6/7 max on a sat.

Now the championship is the EFL so do they just do one just for the championship then what about their other clubs lower down as it’s their pot of money as well that would be supporting funding this.

A decent one on the pitch would be a start.
And don't even go there with the linesman, did you see the one last night flagging Burnley offside when Smith lumped it in the air and it went backwards.
Absolutely dreadful

I could not of put that any better myself, I'm 44 and Burnley have done nothing in my life except have a few seasons in the premier league, horrible club along with Sheff Utd (who won't make 30 points next season) Burnley not sure what to expect depends on Kompany staying I suppose.

I think it’s seen as

It was used last season so would assume it will carry on into this seasons finals.

Given the Championship play off is deemed the richest game in football it feels like the right thing to do.
As a premier league game as well in all but name as the winner will be entering their private club don’t forget.
