Vaccine Passports

Did I say that? No.
Not just in America land though. That process is coming to the UK aswell as many other countries. It's all and good threatening people's care jobs for example but these people are on crap pay as it is and if they haven't had the vaccine yet they aren't going to, they'll go elsewhere, probably a logistics warehouse where the money is better, work environment is better and the hours are better.
Hopefully other businesses here will follow suit. It's already happening in New York.

My Spidey senses feel that that forcing people to have injections is wrong - there is plenty of stuff out there ( that has been there for years )that kills in high numbers, we don't force injections in those cases.

Stuff? Such as...?

Quote me where I've said vaccines don't work ginge. If I believed that why would I have both vaccinations. 📈
You've asked the question enough times. You pretend not to understand the statistical nature of these things. Also, even you could admit your "is everyone in Sweden dead" comment was beyond ridiculous.

because we are supposed to live in a humane society Andy.
Humane is people not willfully spreading a disease with an R0 of 6, and themselves increasing their own risk, who could end up taking a bed off someone who has tried to reduce their own risk? The reckless end up taking advantage of the careful, it's bonkers.

Fair enough if they've had a previous infection, even before the vaccines came out, providing it's proven that they're going to have adequate protection against the current variants, as the vaccines do.

If you actively, and knowingly increased the risk of others, in other walks of life, which have a competently written risk assessment, you would get sacked on the spot.

The UK government’s vaccines watchdog has decided there is not enough evidence to recommend the rollout of Covid vaccines to all 12- to 15-year-olds, but has held open the possibility of ministers seeking other advice to go ahead nonetheless.

But the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has recommended an expansion of the group of children with health conditions that makes them clinically vulnerable. They should receive two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, as they are more at risk of the virus.

The committee said that with a rate of just two per million of healthy children needing intensive care treatment for Covid, the marginal benefit of vaccinating them was “insufficient to support a universal offer” of vaccines to the age group.

One issue is the very small risk of myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation, in children who receive the vaccine. While this is extremely rare, and children tend to recover quickly, there was uncertainty about any longer-term effects, with further research needed.

hey, phizer! Leave us kids alone!

The same rationale as many young vaccine hesitant people. The numbers don’t look that much worse for a 20 year old compared 15 year old. But they’re just selfish idiots.

I'd like to think nobody would wilfully spread any kind of disease Andy. I know I wouldn't.

You want to be "seen" to be protecting other shoppers. That's the crux of it. Virtue signaling because masks do nothing. Vaccines won't make this go away, look at isreal, UK or any highly jabbed nation. They will save some life and some hospitalisations for a period. It protects the taker, nothing more. I haven't had it, never will. Had my MMR because the death rate for them is way higher and my mum decided for me. Vaccines are a good thing and are excellent at preventing severe illness/death. But mass rolling them out over many years to 60 million people is neither cost effective or going to eradicate a respiratory illness...

And those advocating Covid passes. What happens in 10 years when your BMI is 45 so you can't eat out? Or you fancy a pint but already had 10 this week? It is a slippery slope to many other causes of the NHS being under pressure and killing people. I get that they aren't contagious etc but they still place a massive burden on the NHS, which is what this is all about?

Let people make their own mind up based on their perceived risk. Some people won't fly, some will do 120 down the A19, some won't get the jab and die, some smoke and die, some drink and die... Life is full of choices, this should merely be another.
There was a study released yesterday about the benefits of mask wearing. One of the best yet.

Just you wait. You'll have the same guys who've said "follow the science", switch sides and demand the government overrule the JCVI recommendation.

Basically its going to be up to the CMO of each country in the uk to give it the thumbs up based on what is going on. Scotland just posted highest case numbers ever, 2 weeks after schools go back. I dare say they will go first.
England will be posting very large case numbers in 2 weeks. We wont be far behind.

the data the JCVI is also being questioned by scientists, as the figures dont seem right. Im sure there will be more to follow

You. May. Be. Willfully. Spreading. The. Disease. By. Not. Getting. Your. Vaccination.

That's a fact I'm afraid. There have been enough studies done to prove that being vaccinated lessens your chances of passing it on. If you're offered the free vaccine and you turn it down your wilfully increasing your chance of passing on the disease. Scientifically proven fact.

That's a fact I'm afraid, albeit reduced and that's a scientifically proven fact.

I've said it before I trust the advice that my friends, who are doctors, have given me.

Have a nice night ST

You may be more likely to spread the disease if vaccinated because you are more likely to be asymptomatic so more likely to be untested so out and about spreading it.

That's the entirely opposite of a fact. That's the reverse of what the studies have said. Unless you can point to a study that supports your viewpoint. It seems out of odds with what the world is telling us.

Interesting article in the Guardian that 12 people are responsible for 73% of all anti vaccine content on Facebook.

“On Facebook alone, the dozen are responsible for 73% of all anti-vaccine content, though the vaccines have been deemed safe and effective by the US government and its regulatory agencies. And 95% of the Covid misinformation reported on these platforms were not removed.”
