Vaccine Passports

I've just come back from France and they have been using these all summer, with no issues. You can show either a QR code on your phone or a paper copy before entry to cafes, bars, restaurants and some shopping malls.

There have been demonstrations regarding this, but the majority of people have been willing to show their vaccine passports to gain entry to events. I honestly thought we must have been doing the same in this country.

What do you think?

Seems sensible to me, can’t see any issues, think adults are about 78% double vaccinated now, so well on the way.

A totalitarian divide of society designed to coerce people into the vaccine. Mass testing is the clear better option (negative test generally = you don't have / can't transmit the virus, whereas double vax = can still transmit) but Governments are deciding the world over that this won't be allowed as an option. Why?

Who polices it? You'll need an SIA approved doorman or woman on every pub, bar and restaurant door in the country because waitresses aren't going to police it.

I totally agree, it's mental. But it looks increasingly likely given the developments in the last few days. It will also decimate staffing (which is already on its ****) as most people who've chosen not to vax won't change their mind because of this.

If it curtails their freedom and source of income it will.

No we are trying for a 1 tier society with everyone pulling together for the common good.

How would I break the chain? I could not test every day, get Covid, turn up to work and infect everyone?

You really are overthinking the vaccine thing, it’s the only way to keep everyone safe and get back to normal.
