Unusual Cover Versions

I mentioned on another thread watching The Sensational Alex Harvey Band live in the 70s. Their classic cover of Delilah was a real crowd-pleaser.

@Johnny Vincents Motorbike posted and then (I assume) deleted a link to a band called "The Big Push" covering Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" (though actually more accurately a Black Sabbath Medley) and as I tried to "like" it, there it was ... gone. Anyway I went down that rabbit hole and prefer this...

Great energy and playing.

One of my favourite albums Mick Ronsons debut one Slaughter on 10th Avenue.

Its full of cover versions really with the title of the album one of the best I've heard, I remember buying this in 1974 and playing it to death . I `ve never tire of listening to it. This track is a cover of the song that is synonymous with Elvis Presley Love Me Tender and Ronsons is much better imho.

If you haven heard this album, give it a go all the tracks are incredible and Ronson made Bowie famous by arranging his music not just playing guitar for him, shows on here too.

Agreed TT. One of my all time favourites too

Not so much unusual but for me this is on par with Jimmy Ruffin. Her voice is absolutely incredible.
