Unusual Cover Versions

Was going to put “ I heard it through the grapevine “ by Creedence Clearwater Revival but it goes on for over 10 mins and longer. But a great cover none the less.

Never heard this version of this song before today. But I will be digging out the only album I have by them later today.

Easterhouse- Johnny I Hardly Knew You'- Rebel Version (1986)
"many will have heard the version of 'Johnny I Hardly Knew You' and thought it just an general anti-war song but theres another version made most famous by Manchester Irish indie band back in 1986. Easterhouse version tells of meeting a Irish born British soldier “along the road to Wexford town” and extolling the virtues of fighting for Ireland and not for Britain. "you're worse than famine in the land" he tells him..."

Not sure this has been posted yet, but these guys make a thing of covers that are probably the hardest to arrange and perform? 🤔
