According to this the polka dot kit 1886-1890 with a badge that may be blue. 4 years.
First badge with blue never been on a kit. 0 years.
1971 onwards we’ve had a lion on the kit (white, red, sometimes black). 53 years
When have we had a blue lion on the kit?1st club crest had a blue lion in , and it's turned up occasionally through the years as a simple blue lion on the strip so not totally alien to the club but a big part of its history.
The 86 badge is not iconic - it’s basically a red Chelsea or Millwall lion, means bu99er all, and doesn’t differentiate us in any way (yes, yes it says Middlesbrough Football Club round it)the 86 badge is iconic and the new badge should be done away with ASAP
The Chelsea badge was actually a clone of the Boro 86 badge - it was that way around. They copied us. I don't know how ours related to the Millwall badge. The 86 badge is not iconic - it’s basically a red Chelsea or Millwall lion, means bu99er all, and doesn’t differentiate us in any way (yes, yes it says Middlesbrough Football Club round it)
It’s the one above with the ships that’s iconic - with the reference back to the town and the De Brus family.
who is the company or person that has bene appointed?

The erimus one? 4 years out of 150 isn’t a big part of our historyoriginal crest
Upto 1973/74 we never had a white band on our shirt, it was either a yoke, sleeves or all red. What changed that? The club introduced it and fans accepted it, if not loved it.The erimus one? 4 years out of 150 isn’t a big part of our history
The boro has been red for 135 years.Upto 1973/74 we never had a white band on our shirt, it was either a yoke, sleeves or all red. What changed that? The club introduced it and fans accepted it, if not loved it.
Are you sure we never had a blue lion over than those years because the pictures you shared don't really prove anything, just random tops without badges on, which indicates they were not sure either. Granted it doesn't prove it my way either, but it doesn't prove red lion either.
Boro’s lion is a red lion. That should be a non-negotiable.Blue or red? Blue is the historic colour and has a lot of significance for the area.
The lion isn't just random, the lion is there for a reason , and blue comes with it.
But it is negotiable, Boro red strips were usually red with some seasons having the white yoke, so anything else - such a white band should have been non negotiable but the club introduced it and attitudes changed. The blue Lion is the original emblem of the club and with 150;years on the clock it would be appropriate and special to re-introduce. If the white band made it into the emblem of the club so can the blue lion.Boro’s lion is a red lion. That should be a non-negotiable.

JLR doing a big rebrand of jaguar, who will be disappearing from the showrooms and they'll just sell land rovers instead. Jaguar aiming for top of the market now. I.e people with the sort of money where you book an appointment, the car is built for you bespoke etc rather than picking from standard optionsThis is one of the worst updates if true View attachment 83410

He is correct though - blue is the colour on the town crest .Reckon you’ll be in a very small minority that thinks the Boro badge should be blue after us playing in red for over 100 years and any badge on the kit being red on white or red on white (maybe black a few times)
People have a nostalgic vibe for the 86 badge - you're correct - it could be an 'any club' badgeThe 86 badge is not iconic - it’s basically a red Chelsea or Millwall lion, means bu99er all, and doesn’t differentiate us in any way (yes, yes it says Middlesbrough Football Club round it)
