Uniquely Boro Songs

WSO sung by us for years and very rarely, only in unique situations. We had some of the French songs way before Leeds and Man utd and their love in with Cantona, but usually sung by the Frontline and had Hooli twist rather than players twist, I remember definitely when we got knocked of the FaCup by PNE in 1987 that Le Marseille was booming out of the end of the South Terrace as well as the French Nursey Rhyme Frere Jacques where the lyrics were changed to English and the only words I could understand where ' we will knack you'

I can't be ars€d typing out the old 60s/early 70s hoolie songs again and I'm not sure if they were Boro only.

Songs such as:

I found an old stocking, and filled it with lead...

I'm a bow-legged chicken, I'm a knock-kneed hen...

As I was walking down the street, La-be-looby la...

We aint got many manners, we fight with bottles and spanners...

Tip-toe, through the Holgate, with a flick-knife and a sawn-off shotgun...

We travel far and wide...

Doctor Martens. Yellow laces...

etc.

Probably loads more, but these ones are off the top of my head

It’s a long way to the station,

It’s a long way to run.

We’ll hang the referee from the stand.

There’s a tavern in the town

What pleasant ditties!!!!

Where was Whigham, when the ball was in the net.

It's a corner, Billy Horner.

We paid 10 thousand??? for George Kinnel.
For Kinnel
For Kinnel

😊

Also the original Ayresome Angels used to sing:

Hello, hello, they call us Middlesbro

Not 'We are the Boro Boys"

Yogi Bear is a Boro fan
Yogi Bear is a Boro fan
Yogi Bear is a Boro fan
Because he's an animal Too!Too! Too!
I only ever heard it once at the old den from 3 Boro fans who were bouncing around most of the game even though we were 2- 0 down before 2 late goals.to make it 2-2.

That reminds me of another old standard..

If you go down to the woods today..

I was thinking about this following the other thread too. I think the one that is unique to Boro is:

In 86 we nearly died, Ayresome Park to the Riverside.

No other club could use that.

But could they .. do they .. use the tune but with their own words?
