A couple of good saves tonight but his distribution is little to get excited about his short to medium stuff is ok but anything longer is a lottery where it will land.

Makes me appreciate what a gem we have in Sol Brynn

He’s certainly been a calming influence. Decent at crosses and very good shot stopper. As stated, his distribution is what stops him from being a premier league starter.

One of the best shot stoppers we've had years. I am kinda old school as in I'd rather have a good goal keeper than one who's alright but good with his feet.

That said that's not what managers are looking for and the distribution side is probably more important. I blame Pep 😂

I would rate him as slightly better than average in the air, better than average at distribution (compare him to the keepers we play against most weeks) and Premier League class at shot stopping. We're lucky to have him.

Wait, some would actually rather have Sol brynn in goal over Travers?

This place never fails to surprise me.

Travers is the best GK we've had since Randolph.

And it's not even remotely close.
He has been doing it longer than Sol Brynn, but Brynn was really good during his spell.

Brynns quick distribution was much better, had some great moments closing space and stopping attacks. He is also bigger - so was more commanding on corners etc.

I personally think Brynn could be top class with the opportunity - but Travers has been a great shot stopper.

Slightly different take, but according to Wikipedia Brynn is 6'0 and Travers 6'3". Not sure I believe that - Brynn looks a couple of inches taller at least!

Best bit of business we did in January. Granted that's a pretty low bar!!

Been superb for us so far

i agree, hes a very good goalkeeper, better than anything we have, need to see sol playing longer to see if hes the long term solution personally, although he looks decent so far, sols kicking/distribution is better than travers ill give you that, but travis makes a lot of very good saves

Travers is class. I don't care if he kicks the ball long or the odd one out of play. He makes good saves. He's a good goalkeeper.

Not sure if it's realistic but I'd love him to sign on no matter what next season.

Travers is excellent but Brynn came in and did well, went from being number 3 to number 1 in a very short period of time. He has earned the chance to be number 1 next season. Iit would send a dreadful message regarding our commitment to developing our own players.

Also I don't think we would have the budget to sign someone of Travers class to potentially end up as No.2 battling with Brynn

I think people forget we've also a decent no.1 who is a good shot stopper, decent with his feet and will return. For some reason people turned on him because of a few errors, mostly because of poor decisions in front of him.

I'd like both Travers and Brynn on board. Brynn's distribution is better, but Travers seems to exude calm and his shot stopping is very good. Reminds me a bit of Ramsdale in that sense.
