I felt that was happening with Brynn. A few times he as able to play balls over the head of the pressing opposition players and made them think about leaving space behind the front men. At other times he could play out from the back.We have changed our style a bit though since Travers came in - I think going long more often is a tactical switch rather than Travers just doing it.
It's definitely evolved as the season has gone on. I mean you can argue about the relative success but he has tweaked our style.I felt that was happening with Brynn. A few times he as able to play balls over the head of the pressing opposition players and made them think about leaving space behind the front men. At other times he could play out from the back.
Was it a broken collar bone and dislocated shoulder? It would be extremely harsh if Sol doesn't get the chance to nail down the number one position next season, he has bags of potential and could be our number 1 for the next decade.
Was about to say the same. Couple of times against SW you could see the defender was waiting for him to come out but he seemed to be rooted inside the 6 yard box. Annoyed the hell out of meTravers is a great shot stopper and good in one on one situations but I'm getting an impression he's a bit 'line bound'. He doesn't seem to come for stuff in the box even when it looks there for the taking which hasn't helped in the barrage of long throws we've faced of late.
He’s better than GloverA couple of good saves tonight but his distribution is little to get excited about his short to medium stuff is ok but anything longer is a lottery where it will land.
Makes me appreciate what a gem we have in Sol Brynn
Glover moving for free won't make room for £10 million plus Travers.Won't Glover be moving on - hence room for Travers - we need three keepers on the books especially as ours have proved injury prone.
Stood just behind him at the Town End in Swindon many times couple seasons ago and he's fookin hugeWe've had this discussion before. The 6'0" figure is clearly from old data that hasn't been updated. There are pictures showing him standing next to other players who are 6' or more and he is several inches taller than they are.
Adam Thompson, who is third from the left in this photo, is 6'1", for example.
