Tory MP suspended

Apparently he is resigning because MP's mocked his wifes suicide. I watched most of the debate yesterday and that didn't happen. He appears to be trying to garner sympathy to lessen the publics abhorrence at his lies and corruption. Utterly disgusting.

He was corrupt and rightly found to be, but the duty of care for the man, who did lose his wife to suicide, is horrendous. They pursued this case, not because they thought he had been hard done by, but because they were preparing the ground for other more damaging corruption cases in the future. They are sleazy people who will stop at nothing to cover their own backs.

again, as a widower I find at appalling that he is using his wifes death as a way to deflect against his own wrong doing and try and now paint himself as some kind of victim. What an awful man.

Exactly they saw an opportunity to hobble the process to stop the legitimate enquiries into things like Johnson's holiday jaunts and numerous other examples that the Tories would rather not have the glare of investigative light shone upon. We even had a minister "threatening" the Standards Commissioner Kathryn Stone on Breakfast TV this morning saying she should "consider her position".

I think "scum" is flattering them.

As an aside our itinerant Tory Shills seem to be sitting this one out.
