Play Forss upfront and Conway behind with Doak / Jones on the right and Hamilton / Mcgree on the left. ELL must prove he can hold his place. If he’s not scoring then I don’t see why Forss shouldn’t be tried there.

Forss has looked far better for us on the right than he did up front. I don't know why fans have this obsession of playing him up front.
He's played better and scored more frequently from the right. Carrick clearly sees him that way as well.

Conway will be a better 9 than a 10. I'm very confident of this. Carrick just needs the bold decision of giving him 2 or 3 games there in front of Lath.

Forss has never had a run of games playing upfront. I personally think he’s the best finisher at the club. He only needs one chance to put it away where LL seems to need a few chances to score one.
 
I think Latte Lath is being seen as a major danger by opposition teams this season and he’s going to have to figure out a way to get in goal scoring positions with the added attention that brings. It nearly came off yesterday with the offside chance and in the previous game when he was close to sliding one in at the back post. He’ll start knocking them in again soon and should really benefit from Doak on the right side as he has the pace to keep up with him on the counter.
 
Thought TC was very good first half.
Mediocre as the rest 2nd half.
Why do we always look a worse team after Carricks substitutions.
 
Hamilton is from the Man City school of recycling possession continually while proving for openings. Every player they coach has that drilled into them. It'll take him a while to lose that habit, but I trust Scott enough to think that he has seen something in the lad and that he'll be a great signing for us.

Morgan Rogers spent 2 years in Man City's academy.

He spent his childhood in West Brom's, he spent most of his time at Man City out on loan.

Micah Hamilton had spent his entire childhood at Man City.

Forss hasn't kicked a ball in a proper match for a long long time, he will need to get up to speed before he gets in in front of LL , and Conway .
LL will come good , he is doing everything apart from putting the ball in the net. Let's hope he does it next week v the mackems.

I hope he does. I want every boro player to do well. Healthy competition is great for the club. I don’t think we have ever had such a luxury or players who can play across the midfield 3. We don’t have too many upfront. That’s why I think Forss will be used more as a striker from now on.
