If the club thought there was a good chance of promotion this year I am certain he would have been here still. Maybe the insiders can tell that Carrick is treading water now.
He was, but hasn't shown a great deal so far.Conway, a different type of player admittedly, is nowhere near the standard of L.L. a lot on here said he was his replacement.
Spot on but why is it MFC have basically ruined two seasons of (arguably) high expectations by selling our top players in the January window? You can only buy what is for sale. Especially in January.
How do you know that. He might have scored anoy ten goals. Thats just speculation as is everything. If we'd kept him, we wouldn't get £22 million in the summer.
I agree, I think we were very lucky that a random MLS team were willing to pay that.I think in January we were taken aback when the MLS were either the only bid or out bid other offers. We waited thinking alower PL team or maybe Leeds would come in but when they didn't we were up the creek without a paddle. Thats why we ended up with what we have.
He is doing nothing atm. There's no way Hackney goes through this again next season when he can move to a better league and doesn't have to do everything himself.
We don’t know that to be fair, that was the dilemma. We definitely had that fee on offer in January though. It was simply too much for us to knock back, regardless of what we could get in.How do you know that. He might have scored anoy ten goals. Thats just speculation as is everything.
Hackneys decision making was dreadful today but he was far better than Morris who does not impress me one iotaHe's doing everything but losing the ball because he's trying to drag the team who don't know where they are supposed to be.
He lost the ball a few times today but it was because he tried constantly to break forward and had Azaz and Morris stood next to him, Whittaker and Forss stood together on the right, and if he did give it to Whittaker it came back 5 yards away from him or he had the option of Conway with 3 or 4 defenders around him.
Exactly, I think it's a bit churlish to suggest anyone actually wanted us to sell him, rather it's an understanding that it's the model we're working to.It was more than we could afford to turn down. Its just a fact of life for our club in this division.
Do you still think it was the correct decision? Latte leaving along with Doak's injury has left us looking so weak in that final third. Crazy decision not waiting until the summer.
And then what happens? Again we cash in on our best player in the January window and massively weaken the squad? If we plan to sell our best players it should be done in the summer so we can get a suitable replacement in. Our fans pay a lot of money following the club, more than most in the Championship, we deserve better in my opinion.Yeah, 100% the correct decision.
We aren’t entitled to promotion or even a play off place. Just because we sold a player for crazy money and now are struggling a bit it isn’t the end of the world. We will have another go next season.

He defended from the front. His pressing got us much higher up the pitch as a team. We are now sitting so deep and have lost our outlet.Didn’t realise LL was a lynchpin of our defence
