This feels like something you’d see in the developing nations

‘Admin want people to be more respectful to me’ says man who calls someone’s behaviour ‘scummy’
Some of you need to have a long hard look in the mirror. Food shortages in the uk and you still attack the messenger. What actually will it take for you to get upset about Brexit? How low are you prepared for this country to fall? I thought by the “queueing for beets” stage most sane people would be like “yeah this isn’t right”

I’ve mainly agreed around the food shortages, I wasn’t attacking you, I was just showing you your hypocrisy. Just reflect on the language you use yourself

You did to be fair. Which is even more sad you had to turn this thread personal. I expect it from trolls like Nobby and col

How have I made it personal? If I see hypocrisy, then I feel that I should point it out.

brexit is an emotive subject for you. Don’t expect that because it’s really emotive to you that everyone else will be as emotive or understand it. Think about the language you use. Calling someone’s behaviour scummy is going to be divisive, your not going to win anyone over, especially when you stated that people should in turn speak to you better

It’s a difficult one, I understand that but the strength of my language reflects the genuine shock that people are finding humour in food shortages. I know they want to deflect from the Brexit failures and when it come to job losses and the extra cost of things and reduced freedom of movement I kind of expect it now. I genuinely thought food shortages is where most would cross the line. My response reflect my opinion of people who find this situation funny. To me it’s shocking

People find humour in all sorts of things, it isn't necessarily a reflection of not taking the subject seriously underneath.

In this case however, are you "genuinely shocked" that when presenting a topic about food shortages you use a picture of cat food and some people find that funny? It's not the subject, it's the presentation.

Also the language you are using doesn't help, it just gets people's backs up and less likely to agree with you.

OK point taken about the presentation. I do think the defenders of brexit have stooped to a new low on this thread though.

It's the third day this threads rumbled on for. You can't still be shocked surely? Ever heard of "gallows humour"?

My dad used to buy dehydrated food for his hiking when I was a kid. I always used to want to eat that rather than the stuff our mam had cooked. Personally I think you'd be better off buying 3 months worth of Swan Vesta chow mein than spending 4 grand!!!! on that website.
