Think we’ll get beat

No doubt Watmore will be a threat. I actually fancy us to do alright.

Nothing in it....maybe 1-0 or a 0-0. I don't see us getting beat.
 
I love Watmore. The biggest turnaround of my near 35 years as a Boro fan.

I hold my hands as absolutely slated the signing of a 'none scoring and injury prone winger' on here. Didn't see the logic even on a free.

What a bargain he was. I don't have a bad word to say about him. I'm talking as a player and bloke. Just a top man👌
 
The signings (or lack of) doesn’t bother me too much. Still time to sort that out.
I’m more worried by quality of performances in pre-season. Been awful. Don’t look like they know each other.
 
Crooks, Coulson, McNair. If any of them start you know we have problems.

Tough game. Risk that Watmore will run them ragged.

We need signings. We are nowhere near the team we were last season as things currently stand. Imo these initial games will confirm it.

Crooks and McNair if they start we have problems!

We are a championship side and they are good to very good championship players.

Coulson we will have to wait and see.

We don’t have Archer, Ramsey, Giles and probably not Akpom today that’s just life

Luton Town are now in the Premiership how many of their players do you rate?


We need to get behind the team at 3pm way too much negativity before a ball has been kicked.

I think you make my point. We are missing the best 4 players we had last season.
Not being negative, just observing facts.

I'd love to be proven wrong. I don't fork out money hoping to watch us get beat.

I don’t think I do and yes you are being negative, very negative.I just hope the rest of the crowd today doesn’t have your negativity as it can be infectious.

Two of those players weren’t there before January and one that arrived after January missed a load of games.

Who in the Millwall team apart from DW makes you worried?
 
So, all those saying McNair should not start, who would you play right back and why?

He will be playing out of position, so I hope nobody gets on his back in the game, same with Crooksy and Coulson, don’t get on their backs please. Don’t get me wrong, they would not be starters if i had my way either, but we are in a needs must situation. I would play McGree at LB and consider Gilbert or Payero for Crooksy, but Carrick knows better than any of us and given its physical Millwall, can see why Crooksy would get the nod today. I do see McNair as the best current option at RB, ok not ideal, but the squad is in a bit of a pickle right now.
C’Mon Boro, but I’ll guess at 1-1 for today given opening days are usually not our best.

Flemming for a start. They’ve also got that rapid lad whose name won’t come to me which worries me a tad. Bradshaw isn’t terrible and they’ve a new striker who’s scored 5 in pre season.

They’ll be well drilled but they look weaker at centre half than they have in previous seasons.

I'm going 2-1 Boro, regarding any negativity we didn't even get going until November last season, we'll have a much better start this season.

I'll judge after the loan window closes, it's not the same as it used to be, patience needed on the transfer front. No squad in the league is settled or finalised until the window closes.
