Evening folks, hope you're all delighted the weekend is upon us and we're only a couple of weeks or so away from the big man arriving!! Been a quiet week football wise other than delighting in seeing Newcastle getting battered by Everton. Let's hope we can do the same to Ipswich tomorrow and get a valuable 3 points though the injuries are really piling up so it's going to be a tough, tough ask.

To get the ball rolling with a beer I'd recommend this Pacific Breeze IPA which is a lovely drink if you're into the IPAs.

Also, here's a tune to kickstart things... I'm off to see Ginger from the Wildheart in a couple of weeks so a lively Wildhearts track should liven things up...

My choice of beer is again from the Thornbridge Advent Calendar and I have these four beauties to try. I did have a Lord Marbles during the week that was really good and will be purchasing a few from Morrison's.

The music choice is Elvis Costello and I have gone for Indoor Fireworks.

Have a good weekend everyone and remember that it is the Middlesbrough Forum and Salvation Army collection tomorrow and they are looking for donations of football boots and warm winter coats as well as toys for Christmas.

Long bike ride and came across a cycling information hut with some LPs in it. Unfortunately I didn’t think on to bring my turntable, or a power supply. So Liza Minnelli’s interpretation of Dancing in the Moonlight will remain a mystery for evermore.

Winter Ale from St Peter’s down in Suffolk, it’s a lovely treat.

And been enjoying some Jeff Lewis this week.

Steve Earle - "Nothing But A Child" from the album "Copperhead Road" - a Christmas song in all but name

Drinking Aspalls Draught Cyder
Love the track, but I’ve never been able to drink cider when it’s cold. Clearly I need to try harder. This one for me.

@WeeGord Did you know that I made that video? What a mental day that was! Worked with the Wildies for over 30 years now. I was going to post some myself tonight.

Well thanks to @WeeGord for getting some energy going. I'm on Stowford Press low alcohol cider (off the booze for a while). 0 alcohol Doom Bar on standby.

Anyway, sort of Wildhearts related .... the Cardiacs are a big influence on Ginger. And Cardiac Random Jon Poole has been the Wildies bass player from time to time.
So "Is This The Life". What a feckin song!!!

I'm just drinking the 1857 and was reading on the back of the bottle that it was brewed to celebrate the world's oldest clubs birthday - Sheffield FC.

The beer has a typical Thornbridge taste and seems a weaker version of the Jaipur, which I like.
