The weekend beer 🍺 and music 🎶 thread...

Evening WG.

Well I'm going to the match tomorrow, I was going to go back v PNE (which incidentally was my 1st Boro game in Aug 1968, but not my first game at AP) but I bottled it as it was cold and I was a bit unsure of myself.(Soft as $hoite)

I'm a bit unsure of tomorrow tbh, but It will be good to use the ST at last. I think I will go straight in and sit down until the final whistle.

Eaglescliffes finest Tetley Tea again tonight for me.

Had absolutely no idea! Did you do much with The Wildhearts?
@WeeGord Worked with and been mates with them since I shot super 8 footage of them for the "Nothing Ever Changes (but the shoes)" video. Had some amazing times with them on the road ... filmed them around Europe on the Earth vs Anniversary tour. I made the "New Flesh"vid (my daughters are in it) ... er, what else, Jackson Whites vid and I made the Donnington vid for "Understanding Jane". They're pretty much my favourite band. Shame they exploded again. They're nothing if not volatile.
If you have the CD/DVD extra film "The Scott Sorry Years", I made that as well. There are one or two big Wildies fans on here. Bortommo being one.

Evening folks, hope you're all delighted the weekend is upon us and we're only a couple of weeks or so away from the big man arriving!! Been a quiet week football wise other than delighting in seeing Newcastle getting battered by Everton. Let's hope we can do the same to Ipswich tomorrow and get a valuable 3 points though the injuries are really piling up so it's going to be a tough, tough ask.

To get the ball rolling with a beer I'd recommend this Pacific Breeze IPA which is a lovely drink if you're into the IPAs.

Also, here's a tune to kickstart things... I'm off to see Ginger from the Wildheart in a couple of weeks so a lively Wildhearts track should liven things up...

Song has the feeling of Subterranean Homesick Blues, the video work is as up tempo as the song and makes the brain work hard. Its very good. Never listened to the Wildhearts much, but will do.

sort of ignored sensible, medical advice and felt it was more important to be with people that are good for me, and have a good time. several lovely beers in local taproom, poncy craft beer bar, and traditional boozer. had some great & meaningful conversations with people that understand me, and sometimes that means a lot. cheers. utb, and up the chezzers.

and very glad to get to get tickets to see this lot in bristol next year, today

Volatile is an understement course, excellent band but some very fiery people in the band.

Have you ever seen a band called Logoz, they've supported them a couple of times?

This Album was one my brother bought in 1971 and played it to death, I always complained and said it was rubbish during childish arguments (after all what did he know as a college hippy freak) . Afterwards, when he went out, I used to put it on. One album I always enjoyed and played and still do, some great tracks on it, you can see where the mid American country rock started from.
