Afternoon folks, hope you've all had a good week. Seems to have passed quickly for me so can't complain and can't wait for the Blackburn game tomorrow. Desperately hoping something just clicks and we put in a great performance and come home with 3 points.

If you've not tried McEwans 80 Shilling before it's a very good pint and must have if you're visiting North of the border. Head and shoulders above Tennents IMHO though very different drinks of course.

To kick us off with a song this week how about some Sixpence None The Richer...

 
Happy Weekend peeps. Glad the International breaks over and we can get back to Boro business. I found a can of this from Hebden Bridge lying around at the back of a cupboard and it kinda feels appropriate to tackle it….. if its not gone off that is, as its about 2 yr old 😬 I have some Old P. In too just in case its off.
Given the game will be exactly what it says on the tin, it seemed apt

I tried ordering some more today and couldn’t, looks like its out of production at present 🙁

Anyway a fitting connection to the ale and tomorrows game had to be this blast from the past. C’mon Boro, take heed

Just back from a week in the Scottish Borders. Took the train up to Edinburgh from Tweedbank yesterday and had the best pint of Tennents lager in the Ox (John Rebus’s Oxford Bar). On the way back to our cottage, called into Sainsbury’s in Kelso and bought eight cans to bring home.
Whilst in Edinburgh, we took a ride on the new tram extension out to Newhaven.
On the way back along Leith Walk, it gave me the inspiration for a bit of Proclaimers.
The film Sunshine on Leith is an absolute classic, with all the music being Proclaimer’s songs!
