Absolutely great performance from Boro, and we were not disgraced or embarrassed by a "diving" Villa, and that fluked goal.

Boro played very well tonight. Unlucky to lose to a deflection. Villa deserved it overall, they're a very good side but we took them all the way.

The “Sherriff” nails it ! Much improved from the Brighton game last season. Really proud of them today, what a difference between how we played and how that team up the A19 played ! Great performance, thanks Michael and the boys.

Overall though, a great effort from the lads. Huge credit to them all. Everyone put a shift in and that's all we can ask.
Hackney will be all the better for that run out and Clarke inlroves with every game. Huge confidence boosting performance for Glover too.
Good to get out of the game without any new injury concerns.

Not too down about that performance, but of course disappointed to be out of the cup.

Yeah you can tell that line came out of his mouth almost by default, and then he realised the winner was the flukiest of deflections.
