Like against Blackburn we were on top from 60th minute but no goals

We can take positives fro that 2nd half

There was a 5 minute spell where we looked quite good but nothing else particularly positive.

Too many players in this squad that aren't good enough. At least 6 or 7 players that shouldn't be there.

I thought we were the better team given the second half, but dear me, it was still nowhere near good enough, we look a bottom 3 team still. We could potentially be 5 points adrift after tomorrow. Thank goodness the next few games are a piece of pi$$.

The game changed on the Mcgree substitution. When it was clear Silvera should have gone off. We lost our momentum and didn't look like scoring after that

Crooks isn't a footballer. Silvera needs some muscle. Engel was shocking.

Pros:
I think Coburn did well. Better with some service. Jones was a game changer. We didn't concede more than 1.

First 20mins of the second half were really good. God knows why he took McGree off. It killed the momentum and we never really recovered.

That first half though, Jesus Christ. That was like the January or February of 93/94. So bad you can’t take your eyes off it.

McGree looks a yard short of what he offered last season and was beginning to blow out of his backside. I must admit though, I would have taken off Silvera first and then McGree or Crooks.

No we can’t
We were poor in both halves and we could be relegated if we don’t change it in January

We scored and we dominated for 20 mins after the goal. Some of the pattern of play were coming back

The McGree substitution was baffling

I was all pro Carrick but now I’m thinking he’s losing the plot a bit. His decision making I just can’t fathom.

None of the new additions have had that instant impact - especially what we got from Ramsey and Archer last season.

Apart from Dieng I think we’re better off sticking with whats left of the squad from last season to form our best 11 maybe rotating Howson/O’Brien and keep the new additions as impact subs on tonights basis until they gel and integrate slowly
