I can’t fault the lads for a 2-2 draw at Hull. Yes it is the result that possibly ends our feint play off hopes but in reality it isn’t. It’s because of poor results like ***** like Rotherham.

It’s nice to see the players picking up results of late.

Embarrassed for O’Brien after that reaction. Thought he had a poor game too.

Greenwood can **** off too in the summer. Can’t dribble for toffee and just gives stupid fouls away.

I would sign Ayling tomorrow. Love him.

Thought Ayling, Howson and VDB were really good.
 
Lack of options on the bench
Glover keeper
Barlaser is not good enough
Bangura not going to be the 3rd left back used in the same game
Dijksteel and Gilbert hardly ever get more than cameos
McCabe and Finch youngsters
 
Not bothered about the playoffs, more concerned that those in charge will be having the needs for next season cemented.
We still need that mobile CDM in my mind to allow our full backs more rein and to provide cover when they get forward and someone on the left who's quicker on the ball than what we've got. I'm not talking about a flying winger, more someone who works the ball quickly and doesn't give the opposition time to settle.
That's still the big difference from last season for me, the pace with which we work the ball just isn't the same and it's part of the reason why we have to defend more.

Vdb was superb absolutely sensational defender one on one
 
A decent effort. Hull are a good side and had long passages of play where they dominated. Awful error for their second goal.
We go again.
 
Couple of things I noticed. But for a short period in the first half I thought Ayling managed philogene very well. Jones switching to the left didn't help ayling, and I wonder if Jones didn't fancy playing up against Philogene.

I thought Azaz had a good game, and I suspect this won't be a popular opinion. He would probably be my MoM.

I thought Engel had his best game for some time. Didn't really do much wrong at the back and put in a couple of really good crosses.

Jones was much better in the second half, but you could say that for a fair few.
 
MC should realise we are not Man City, we are not good enough, or fast enough to pay out from the back. We would have won otherwise.

We could beat Ipswich at the weekend and Norwich could lose to Preston away. Much, much more unlikely things have happened. We'd have to be utterly spineless and incredibly stupid just to give up and "get the kids out for the last few games".
I'm keeping my white flag stuffed firmly down me undercrackers until we've mathematically no chance.

Get what you’re saying but to be honest Greenwood needs dropping either way. He has been awful.

I’d like to see Azaz improve his strength and retention of the ball, he seems to get pushed off if quite easily.

Also seems to be much better at picking a pass when he doesn’t have much time.
