It must be the fourth or fifth time we’ve given a team a two or three gaol start this season then got back into it only to lose! Something’s gotta give - a thoroughly depressing weekend will be complete when they announce cattermole! After high hopes for this season we are in a real relegation battle!
 
Interesting change in the second half. Went to a more of a diamond shape with hackney/mcgree as the 10 and howson as the defensive midfielder. Allowed us to get more bodies and win more second ball in midfield but also allowed space for our fullbacks to push up into space. Allowed us to pressure higher up the pitch.
 
Surely as Leo had a lot of success with karanka playing 442 you would think it would be his preferred formation to start. Or is someone else picking the team and formation behind the scenes

My thinking is he thought someone would be coming in sooner and rather than confuse the yellow bellied, cowardice, prima donna, heartless pricks, he would try small fixes until the new guy rips it all up and starts again. He will probably start with 4 at the back in midweek but I can guarantee now the result aint honna change.
