Our wing backs aren’t good enough/ aware enough for this, and the centre backs not quick enough to get out to cover.

Just seems so poorly organised at the back, but not from coaching, its just basic football and a lack of leadership.
 
Broken record but nobody playing in front of Engel means he is marking 3 and 16 every attack. No idea of the formation tonight - Latte Lath totally isolated Howson, O’Brien and McGree playing in each others shoes - Forss? We basically have the Boro player with the ball trying to beat everyone himself what a shambles so far. As the song goes things can only get better.
 
We might as well change it, playing 5 at the back is no better than the 4, yet we’re also losing people up top, especially wide.

The only way i can see this helping us is if they push their back line high, and lath gets in behind with his pace. Doesnt seem worth it though.

Control is terrible too, every second touch is a tackle.
 
Why are SO many of our passes placed behind the man they're aimed for? It's often only a short distance, and the player is able to recover it, but only by checking their run and waiting for the ball to arrive. It consistently means we lose momentum in our attacks, and it's been happening for several games now. It seems like an easy thing to fix, but apparently not.
 
We are literally playing it on a pass by pass basis. There is literally no thought or flow in our play at all.
It's almost like passing on responsibilities to the next lad so you don't get blamed if the ball is lost.
