The problem with our fans.

You’re making yourself look a fool. Give the internet a break for a while. Give yourself some time to reflect on your ludicrous buffoon like postings.

People liking the OP would suggest I’ve got like-minded folk agreeing with me, but cheers for your concern BumTrumpet.

And that’s fine, but you have to consider the sides that have come down, the sides that still have parachute payments and the fact this league is an absolute dog-fight anyway.

Has absolutely no relevance towards who we're playing.

With “fans” like you who needs the opposition

Bore off you clown

Another fantastic contribution.

Recogising where we are as a club doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be F***ing ecstatic if we got promoted.

Wouldn’t expect you to understand that though.

A lot of it will be swallowed up in existing debt or running costs. I can’t remember the exact figure but the club loses a significant amount a month.

We have to be sustainable, especially with FFP.
yeah i understand that, and i’m not saying we need to reinvest all our cash. It seems like we refuse to spend any more than 3/4mil on a handful of players. When cov are buying simms for 8million i do think we can surely afford to splash a bit more.

Maybe they accidentally pressed the like button, when in fact they were scrambling for the “Admin - please get immediate help for this individual” button.

I’d agree with that, but we’ve had our fingers burned when we have.

Neither Millwall or Coventry have ever had parachute payments.

Fans being upset by bad performances against them in nothing to do with the Premier League.

So you’ve picked one point form a broader perspective… ok. Absolutely, but I wouldn’t say we’re a particularly bigger club than either of them. And as such have no inherent right to beat them.

Those who believe we have are of that mind-set.

100% with players like assombalonga and braithwaite, but with our current recruitment surely we can do better. Even just spending 5mil on Giles, surely we can afford it. Personally i’d be happy with our current recruitment + 1 or 2 big players. Could still happen, who knows…..

Is that they still think we’re a Premier League standard club that has just fallen on hard times and our current standing is just a blip.

We punched well above our weight for years. We’re an unfashionable area with limited resources, which means we’re swimming in a pool with much bigger fish.

That’s why they’re so easily rattled when it looks like, god forbid, we might not smash the league.

We are akin to the likes of Coventry, Stoke, Blackburn etc. We could, with financial mismanagement, just as easily be a Bolton or a Derby.

Be thankful you’ve still got a football club to support and a chairman who consistently backs the club. We’re embarking on a new model, it’s probably not going to result in promotion any time soon unless we’re very lucky. You need to temper your expectations and appreciate that you’ve still got a club to support playing at a reasonable level. There’s a lot out there who haven’t.

👍🏻
Scrug there are clubs that have been better managed too - such as Brighton, Palace and Burnley.

Oh absolutely, you won’t find me arguing that we’re run fantastically. All I’m saying is we have no inherent right to be up there which some fans seem to believe we have. Brighton are an exceptionally well ran club, plus they’re in a desirable area to live, Palace too, we don’t have the benefit of that. To bring quality up here we have to pay higher wages and the reality is we’re not in a position to do so. We are seen (to those who don’t know Middlesbrough) as similar to Stoke. A club that was up there for a while and are now playing around their level.

Burnley have been well ran too in recent years, they’re probably a more realistic model for us to follow.

Why the **** are Luton Bournemouth Burnley wolves deserve to be in the Premier league and not us. We all go on about Gibson being this super chairman we've done nothing for last decade and a half going on now.
Wolves are a bigger club than us? Underrated club

We have far more long term potential than Burnley, no debate even in the championship there always seem as the small club hanging on, we could maintain regular pl football but we don’t have the ownership to do it
