The officials in this league just get worse

Thought the linesman in front of the East stand was dreadful. The ref was very poor too. i normally try not to criticise the officials, but these were unusually bad.
 
I don't think it's just this league. Anyone see the lad sent off for Forest after a great tackle and having his foot stepped on ? Terrible decision.

Obviously it was wrong but I really don’t think it was that bad a decision. I thought it was a straight red when I first seen it, especially considering the reaction of the Bournemouth player. It was a really close call and the ref was just on the wrong side of it.

They should be allowed to review second yellows really, considering it is such a severe punishment.
 
Just watched the ten minutes highlights thing on Boro site and the Jones incident is not on there. It was right in front of me and it was a straight red all day every day. Not sure why it isn't in the highlights when it was certainly noteworthy?

I thought the refereeing was poor throughout yesterday but fortunately nothing that had a bearing on the result barring that early non-sending off.

Watching the incident at the match Howson questioned the ref presumably as to why it wasn't a red. The ref then made a movement with his hand as if he was suggesting Jones wasn't running directly on goal which was absolute bolleaux.😡
Kipre led a charmed life. Late in the game he completely took out Jones off the ball the later on when Jones tried to slip the ball past him he definitely made a movement with his arm to block the ball which should have been seen by the East Stand linesman. The handball should deffo have been a second booking
 
What about the theatrics with the corner when it was obvious to everybody in the ground it was our goal kick he turned his body towards direction of goalkick then suddenly throughout an arm to signal corner to WBA

Totally incompetent all game for both teams actually
 
The ref was a joke.

Two red cards on Jones in my opinion, he was also pulled back by the last man when going through on goal and shot at the keeper under pressure before the one he was brought down.

Now all through the match the ref waited to see if there was any advantage to West Brom before bringing play back for a foul, but not when Isaiah was on the ball…
 
We only had ourselves (maybe Greenwood and Jones) to blame in this one. Ok it was a pen on Bangura as well as a foul on Fry before they scored but Greenwood was dreadful.
