The officials in this league just get worse

We only had ourselves (maybe Greenwood and Jones) to blame in this one. Ok it was a pen on Bangura as well as a foul on Fry before they scored but Greenwood was dreadful.
I’ll defend Jones as he has no power behind his shots but he makes up for it in his all round play and he is a full back / winger, not a forward. Greenwood and Silvera are just massively wasteful players, if they can’t shoot what are they in the team for?

Greenwood is such a frustrating player. He's capable of moments of magic but his all round play is usually poor, and some of the chances he's wasted recently have been appalling.

McGree should definitely be back in the side at Huddersfield.

I think Greenwood is ok but a rival Championship team have him out on loan to us because he can’t get in their team. What does that tell you?

I honesty think refs should have to be interviewed after each game, so that they can explain some of their decision making.

Genuinely would like to hear what explanation he'd give to justify why he didn't think it was a penalty.
Totally they need to be held accountable they can do anything they want and they is no consequence and it's wrong on all levels

They wouldn’t help. There are really only two possible explanations, that he didn’t see it or he didn’t think it was a foul. Neither of those would placate anyone on here. Nor would it help if he admitted, but having seen it, I think I was wrong.

Same with the Jones decision on Saturday. We do have the referees explanation there, indirectly, because he gave it to Carrick. We flat out refuse to accept it (even though, if you watch it back, it’s probably strictly correct though maybe not really what I think the provision of the law was meant to mean).

I'd be asking him why he didn't think it was a foul though. Did he think it was two players coming together and the Rotherham lad was stronger?

If he was unable to give an explanation then at least we'd know that he probably knows himself that he's made a mistake.

Don't really like to criticise the officials, they have a very difficult job.

But today.....oooooossssshhhhhh.....how that was not given. Absolutely no mitigation for the defender. Nowhere near the ball, took the player out, ball didn't move.

Bad decision. Very poor indeed.

The problem with a lot of officials is they have never played the game so don't understand in game situations, Bangura would never have dived there as he has a great chance to score, he's deffo taken out.

That’s the issue as to not give a pen is bad enough but then as you say surely then you give a dive so to not give anything at all is pathetic.

Refs are inconsistent when giving fouls for players diving. I'd imagine he didn't give a foul for diving because he probably didn't think it was a dive.

I can only think he must have thought it was a coming together and their lad was stronger but he certainly didn't see what we saw.
