The meltdown if we lose

It's already a meltdown with some members on here, due to our lack of marquee signings this summer, its not fm23.
Lets not forget ,we had an appalling first few months last season until Carrick came in.
Most of the Championship teams, have lost good loan signings this summer, and have not replaced them yet, we are in the same boat.
I'm sure win or lose on Saturday, Carrick and the recruitment team will sort it out before deadline day on 1st Sept.

Its unlikely Carrick is only going to win two games in the first eleven and lead us to 22nd place - like Chris Wilder [Remember him].

People buzzing about our transfer business as recently as two weeks ago. The key deals we need to do will be the most difficult and take the longest to complete. I don’t think we’re in a different position to any of the other 91 league clubs TBH. Each and every one of them has holes to fill and deals to do.

I blame Sky and rolling news media for presenting what is essentially a large number of boring and tedious phone calls, emails and text messages as entertainment. The only difference between now and, say, 1991 is the amount of money and possibly the number of people involved.

It is the same every summer. Every single club in the country will make at least one more signing before the window closes, if not multiple signings. It happens every single time.

What's different to this time last season what numbers did Wilder say we still needed to fill going into the season?

Im sure we needed something like a number 4, 7, 10 and 11 and a couple of marquee signings at that

I think there’s a fair chance we’ll get beat. Millwall are no mugs and have recruited a few decent signings apparently, whereas we have lost big names in Archer, Giles and Fletcher. Akpom Howson Smith and Djiksteel are all missing, and we look weak in both fullback positions - but i certainly won’t be having a meltdown over it if we get beat

I'm still waiting for the first 'bed wetters' post. You know the seasons started when it's busted out 😂

I'm pretty chilled. We could lose the first 5 and still get promoted. It's not just us. It's every fanbase up and down the country once they've lost on the first day.

I've seen Liverpool and Chelsea fans moaning about lack of signings. These fanbases live in a strange world. Try supporting 'normal' sides scratching around trying to sign someone for a few quid lol.

We only won two out the first eleven under "Abiliteh" - an Super Michael Carrick" took us into the play-offs on the back of that afta the brief spell under Leo.

No problems.
We will hopefully be in for some pleasant surprises with new arrivals when the blummin transfer skylight closes

"O` You of little faith.
Why are you [we] afraid?"

If we want to finish Top 6 it is a game we should win. All 46 games carry equal weight. Its not the end of the World to lose but last season showed us the importance of winning games across the whole season not just 50% of it

Everyone seems so edgy at the moment. Obviously the frustrations the club have with transfers are seeping through to some.

To quote a former manager “IT IS WHAT IT IS”. Never stress over something you can’t control.

Indeed, I even pointed out that the polarisation on this board is ridiculous, but it looks like we're back to being a joke of a club and toxic throughout again now.
