It is actually f*cking mental that we have enough players unavailable that they make up a pretty strong team themselves isn’t it.
Understandably less committed than he is to his country? Are we really trying to criticise a player for playing for his country in a significant tournament for them? Not his fault it’s in f*cking January.Id say having half a squad was a bit of a conundrum .
Plus we’ve been screaming out for a striker for the championship nevermind playing a prem side .
Having 2 lads playing for their country was a **** take also while their team mate try to get to a semi final . How committed is mcgree to the mighty Boro ?
We had a fair few of our available players not fully fit too! Howson struggled, Coburn didn’t start.. O’Brien is only just back and Forss isn’t fully up to speed yet. There's a decent argument that an 11 of our not match fit / away is a better 11 than yesterdays
Chief dad dancer matt clarkeYou know when you go to a wedding and you see that bloke on the dancefloor (who's obviously been dragged up by his missus) who doesn't have a rhythmical bone in his body but he's giving it a go and looking really awkward?
That's how some of our players look when they are trying to play this triangular short pass style we have adopted. it feels sometimes like they think their job is done when they get the ball passed to them and manage to pass it to another person successfully. we don't look comfortable playing that way.
Half the squad is out.. massive holes in the side against a billion pound premier league squad! Playing from the back?P issing about at the back and playing it backwards started to really grate on me, its obvious Chelsea have super quick players, so I wish we'd done what we did at the Riverside - ball over the top down the channel. only issue being, we didn't have Jones or Lathe to chase
How about getting beat 2-0 at home and 3-0 away.. a larger goal deficit and no wins. Better?
MK Dons beat Wimbledon too.Exactly, take the positives.
The first leg was unbelievable, one of the Riverside great nights. They dont come along often so for me that was the icing on the cake.
Unfortunately the second leg played out how the football gods wished it to be.
