The Friday beer and music thread!

See a lot of talk on these threads about IPA. What is that all about. Are IPA drinkers really lager drinkers pretending to be beer drinkers by drinking IPA. Well its not as its rubbish. Beer is bitter its not some floral scented lager called IPA. But still each to their own, enjoy your pints of nothingness.;)(y)(y)

Leffe is a wonderful drink, but several pints of it can only lead to one thing haha! Hope you're not feeling too tender today.
Lol, love the stuff mate.
Best pint of Leffe I have tasted was at the Leffe Tavern in Dinant, Belgium. Accompanied by a steak from a Belgium Blue cow, (no smutty remarks please!).
Heaven… Been there twice whilst motor cycle touring. It’s a beautiful place Dinant, well worth a visit.

beer covers a multitude of delicious sins. lager IS a beer, ya little stirrer.....

Here I am late again, was cooking last night. But also drinking my usual Sauvignon Blanc, Mud House on offer in Tesco. Been walking in the lakes all week (lots of sky juice coming down) so the music choice is obvious but brilliant imho.

I‘ll also add my imagined Friday night comments from Askhata Murty aka Mrs Sunak
” Chequers for the weekend? But it’s shït ! And it’s f**king tiny ! and it stinks of Boris!!”

Afternoon folks, a new era is upon us. I'm talking about Michael Carrick of course rather than Rishi Sunak, not least because PMs dont tend to last as long as managers these days, not even at the Boro!

I think I'll be tucking into an old favourite this week on both musical and beer counts. Ole Peculier is, IMHO, still one of the best drinks ever made and often enjoy one or two.

In regards to music I'm going to start with one of my favourite bands of all time and very appropriate too given they've announced a new tour together next year. Yep, its Pulp and they're so great they even have a thread of their own on here today. Happy weekend!

I agree @Wee Best beer in the world and the oak barrelled cask variety is nice too.

I’ve noticed a few chaps were on the Leffe last night, I once had 5 of the big bottles of this, tastes very unique, but my lasting memory, if I can even call it that, is NOT remembering the previous night and having what I recall as the worst hangover I’ve ever had. Lethal stuff!

I'm a late convert to a good IPA. I'd say it was actually harder on the palate than a thoroughbred beer tbh.

FIVE??!!

I used to have 2 big bottles on a Friday night after if I'd had a particularly stressful week and I was always mortal after just the 2!!

I love Leffe Blonde, but it has to be chilled to within an inch of its life for me to enjoy it fully.
