Afternoon folks, hope you've all had a good week and looking forward to a great weekend. I'm not having anything to drink today as I'm off to the Joshua v Usyk fight tomorrow so saving myself for a gentle couple of drinks tomorrow. I'm quite partial to a Brown Ale or two and that's quite appropriate given it's often called fighting juice and somewhat predictably my music to start the thread is also boxing related of sorts but a great, great song nonetheless.

Happy weekend to the lot of you 🥊🥊🥊

Enjoy the fight, should be a great event 👍

Bit of this for me tonight but only one or two. Was at a wedding yesterday, had a tremendous IPA on Draught, Brooklyn Defender. Delightful it was, apart from the £6.50 a pint price tag.

Couple of bottles of this fine stuff will do me tonight, and for music I'll be rehearsing up a couple of songs with Mrs V.

Off out to see Field Music at the Westgarth tonight but as I'm Desi-driver I will be mostly drinking

Swings and roundabouts innit.

So drinks as i'm on nights tonight, but to put me in the right frame of mind & a pick up I'll play, probably, my favourite record of all time

Was also the great John Peels favourite track of all time IIRC. Excellent song Erimus.

It certainly was WeeGord, allegedly he 1st heard it on the car radio, pulled over & cried as the song rang out, then on his 50th birthday the group were invited to his house party where they gave him the lyrics which again upset him

Missed this thread last night, was out at Lucifer's in Stockton. They had Three Brothers Creme Egg Stout on sale - it's a very complex beast. And at 12% it blows your socks off.
Three Brothers have good assortment of their beers available at the St Mary's beer festival this weekend at the church on Norton Green.
I'm popping up tomorrow afternoon to sample a few. There is food on plus live music after 6PM
