It doesn't in the context of art does it, it's all subjective surely.[Philosophy Corner]
If you go by that reasoning then good and bad don’t exist as concepts.

Not really. Very few people listen to side two of TB more than once. However, if you don't list to DSOTM all the way through you really don't like it. Which is fair enough as we have established.DSOTM is one of those albums you listen to in it's entirety once and then barely listen to it all the way through again.
Same as Tubular Bells.
Same for me with claptonJeff Beck is the artist I don't get. He's so highly rated as a guitarist by everybody and on the face of it should be right up my street but, and I've tried listening hoping something clicks, I just don't see/hear it
I like all of those including Floyd not overly keen on the song wish you were here as ive heard it murdered so many times at open micsI've tried listening the rolling stones, the smiths, new order and joy Division and although I love lots of similar bands just can't get into them. It's weird how we're wired.
I love Pink Floyd, and really like Dark Side of the Moon, for the record.
I was just saying to my wife about this post, she hates Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac. I still love wish you were here and rumours.Still a fantastic band in my opinion
That was beautifulMy favorite version

I’ll take that as a compliment! Maybe because of the grandkids. They do tell me I’m down with the kids.you were 18 in 1973 - surprised at that.
you use words of a much younger person - i should add that i hated it when i first heard it, now i think its a masterpiece and more than holds its own of its time.
i also had an epiphany with Led Zep - their albums take me over when i listen to them, i came very late to them, in my late, very late 30s.
