Thanks for posting and an interesting if unsurprising watch, from an economic perspective. An interesting take from business on the effects of Brexit.
Focuses on finance, growth and trade, rather than the politics of Brexit.
Blue passports and crown marks on pint glasses? And no brown people? And all poorer. Great stuff! Thanks for posting and an interesting if unsurprising watch, from an economic perspective.
The Brexit we have is not what I voted for, nor I suspect the majority of Leave voters. As an economics graduate who focused on economic integration, I fully understood there was never an economic argument for leaving.
The "slow puncture" referred to in the video was always going to slow us down and frankly could have been much worse, but tyres can be repaired or replaced.
This country will return to the SM and CU, be tied economically, but not rejoin the EU.
And many will then have got what they actually voted for.
So they voted to be rule takers and not rule makers ? Is that what taking back control looks like ?Thanks for posting and an interesting if unsurprising watch, from an economic perspective.

Actually when leavers say this they need to be encouraged to voice their opinion rather than repeatedly being hit over the head, it's the only way we will get to a 'sensiblee leave system it takes the platform away from the ERC and other extremists who claim they are speaking for the Brexit majority.Blue passports and crown marks on pint glasses? And no brown people? And all poorer. Great stuff!
Wow. The denial and delusion keeps ramping up.Actually when leavers say this they need to be encouraged to voice their opinion rather than repeatedly being hit over the head, it's the only way we will get to a 'sensiblee leave system it takes the platform away from the ERC and other extremists who claim they are speaking for the Brexit majority.
Err no Muppet, I voted Remain and I'm talking from a less rabid remain point.
Go on admit it nowJust admit you fcuked up
Your post was ambiguous but I will withdraw the comment.Err no Muppet, I voted Remain and I'm talking from a less rabid remain point.
What is the deal? There is absolutely no point over bashing leavers over the head anymore, there is an opportunity to get a trade deal with the EU, which might not be perfect but is also not being dictated by a small amount of rich people who are basically channels for even richer people and anti EU interests. If we lose this opportunity and those small extremist get the upper hand again you can guarantee they will do their best to close the doors on future types of deals like this.
There isnt a specific one in the public domain but the outlines of one have been mentioned such as the Swiss deal, it needs people to speak up for it, this is coming soon after the Macron and Sunak meeting so you can say it is likely that something ( Swiss deal ) has been discussedWhat is the deal?
Pointless - the EU would not agree to a "Swiss-style" deal. There isnt a specific one in the public domain but the outlines of one have been mentioned such as the Swiss deal, it needs people to speak up for it, this is coming soon after the Macron and Sunak meeting so you can say it is likely that something ( Swiss deal ) has been discussed
Those extremists though are around 1/3 of Tory party MPs (mostly ERG members) who, if they sense any moves closer to the EU other than the HARD brexit we currently have (strangling the country) then they will cause so much friction within Government it'll force a general election and that's the last thing Sunak wants or needs so is having to play ball with these extremists in the Tory party. Sunak is totally beholden to them with Sue Ella, Raab & Gove keeping a close eye on Sunak in cabinet etc...There is absolutely no point over bashing leavers over the head anymore, there is an opportunity to get a trade deal with the EU, which might not be perfect but is also not being dictated by a small amount of rich people who are basically channels for even richer people and anti EU interests.
