Some things I can’t work out for myself

if the r rate is 0.8-1 why have cases declined so fast. More asymptotic people?

why is the r rate lower now that when we were in the first lockdown? The measures are less the variant is more transmissible

1 in 10’have had the virus. With the positive test being at 3.5 million people. Those figures don’t seem right to me. Is suspect people haven’t looked a the immunity impact. That is when you don’t have antibodies doesn’t mean you haven’t had it. Seems a simplistic way of looking at it and makes a good headline

Good vaccination figures for a few days now Bear and the infection rate falling quickly so some good news there. I never believed the 2nd wave would get this bad though. It is tragic for 1,000's of families.
Admissions to hospitals are leveling out as are total numbers hospitalised. In this wave the time in hospital seems to be longer than the first wave. Is this the nature of the illness or the benefits of treatments? Hopefully the latter.

Worrying news about the delay in 2nd jab could mean it’s less effective. How much research was done beyond the 2 weeks apart?
