Starmer is a lying rat/Corbyn was chuffing useless - discuss

Do you believe in the state of Israel?
The state of Israel exists. It isn't something you can have a belief in. Are you asking if BBG thinks it has a right to exist?

“If the definition of ‘Zionist’ is someone who believes in the state of Israel, in that sense I’m a Zionist."

Starmer knows that that isn't the normal definition of a Zionist, so why is he making that statement?

There is a difference between blaming Corbyn for Brexit and feeling let down by his lack of leadership on the matter.
Yes, I agree. The point I was making was that just on this thread alone there are enough signs that people hold Corbyn responsible, in some way, for Brexit to make 1finny's statement absurd at best.

Semantics, I expect nothing less.

A Zionist is someone who advocates for an independent Jewish state where Jews can live in safety.

So seeing as you're answering questions put to BBG maybe you can answer this one.

Do you support an independent Jewish state where Jews can live in safety?

You're problem is that you use words like Centrist and Zionist as an insult, a dirty word. Most reasonable people see the definitions for what they are.

I've never used either word as an insult. I use centrist as a political position. I have used the term "centrist-dad" as a reference that you may find offensive but that's up to you. If you think being a centrist is something to be ashamed of?

In fact, a quick search shows I've never used the word zionist (or zionism for that matter) except where referencing quotes - and only three times at that. You're obviously getting me confused with someone else.

I support the right of Israel to exist as an independent state, where Jews can live in safety. I don't think states should be defined by religion as that usually has negative consequences, which is why I've amended it from "Jewish state". Happy to continue that discussion as "Jewish" can mean more than just the religion, just as "Israel" can mean more than just the state.

As for the semantics of Starmer's quote. He is a top lawyer. He knows how he is using language.

If the definition of ‘Elephant’ is someone who lives in Redcar, in that sense I’m an Elephant.

Can you see why that doesn't make sense?

Swerved the question again.
He still said what he said and then included a qualification though didn't he?
As for your question, it's just a deflection which has nothing to do with what I said about Starmer. But anyway, to answer your question no, I do not believe that the state of Israel should exist in its present form as a supremacist colonialist entity.

I do take a different view of Zionism from Scrote. Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism and it has never just been about securing a safe homeland for Jewish people. Zionist terrorists were active in the Middle East since 1940 at least, executing British diplomats, bombing infrastructure and later, sending setter bombs to Attlee, Churchill and possibly Truman too. They even asked the axis countries for help and nobody with the welfare of European Jews at heart would go seeking help from Nazi Germany would they?

If I was a politician I would never attach myself to the Zionist cause even if they offered to fund me hansdomly.

Jeremy has run his race he's 75 now and wont be leading the party again. Perhaps he may retire as he is a very wealthy man and been in the game since leaving grammar school and had a very long career as politician.
I wonder if he will take a job in the Lords?
Perhaps Starmer another very wealthy man will lead the country for a while and do the same.

I`d give up LOTL mate its Friday for you and its not worth your time mate.

That's not the question I asked. You've done the politician thing, answering a different question to the one asked.

I thought it was clear from my answer, yes i would support a state where Jews can live in peace, and no I don't support the Colonialist Apartheid state that Israel is now.

Talking about swerving questions, I asked you about a year ago to evidence your claim that Roger Waters was antiSemitic. You didn't do that, instead you disappeared and returned with a different name.

You think I left the board and returned with a different username just to avoid answering a question? 🤣

Can you tell me what you mean by 'culmination of things'.
No because I am not obligated to answer every question on a thread so i will ignore the pointless ones. I've answered your question, now provide your evidence re Waters. I've only been waiting 10 months.
