Stacey Dooley or Louis Theroux?

Dooley for me
Theroux's style grates a bit now.
His enigmatic silences go on and on and he loves the camera.
Still watch both though, great TV.

I've always liked Stacy's stuff since she broke on the scene on BBC3. A great way of presenting and interviewing.

I do like watching Theroux's old stuff on demand. The Westboro baptist church and the one with those two young girls brought up to be Nazis. Still shocking and bizarre to watch now

Those "gentle but investigating people from within" reporters have always fascinated me. Alan Whicker, Clive James and later Dave Allan pioneered the style of interviewing screwballs. Theroux took it on to a more darker direction. Dooley is a modern day master at it and keeping this legacy alive.

I back watched some of the Ruby Wax from decades ago. Never bothered with her at the time but really enjoyed them.
Two that really stood out were Trump and Cosby. Both flat out obvious mysogynists.
Wax handled them both brilliantly. Cosby was frightening.
She looks back on the interviews with her daughters.
Highly recommended series.

I’ve always found Dooley to seem very patronising and occasionally insincere when speaking to certain people. Her early stuff seemed particularly bad. It felt like she was being given work because she sounded working class rather than for her skills as a journalist.
