On Talksport this morning they were saying the biggest problem for spurs is the right hand side as Royale is not suited to the role and mentioned a number of players that could play there including Kulusevski, no mention of Spence, then went on to say Conte knows the right hand side is the problem but they have not found a solution. At one point I thought they were going to the phone lines and say on the line we have DJed who would like to talk about Spurs right hand side problems
 
No wonder we played hardball with Spurs getting the full fee upfront, if it’d been staggered on appearances we’d have got naff all.
Complete bellend who believes his own publicity, he’ll be back in the Champo in the next few months.

That said, Conte made Victor Moses look exceptional so there's still time maybe.

He’s not their back up RWB by any stretch. He is at least 3rd choice behind Emerson and Doherty and even behind Lucas Moura and Kulusevski if they are chasing games. I can see them selling him next summer.
 
Played less than 5 minutes of football since signing for them, cleatly not even close being in the thinking, even when Emerson Royal was banned.

His 3 appearances have all been around the 90th minute and he had no impact on the game or result.

Definitely made a mistake snubbing Forest.

Shame we'll probably miss out on millions, but I don't feel sorry for him.
 
He's an idiot. There were better moves available to him but he practically forced through the Spurs move, despite it always being likely he'd struggle for game time.

Wouldn't be surprised if off the field distractions were a factor too now hes moved back to London near his "mates".

He'll be earning enough on that Spurs contract to live a comfortable life. Good for him, but it looks like Conte won't start him unless forced at gunpoint.
 
He should have gone to forest. He'd have played every week. Although they are hardly ripping up trees (see what I did 😉).

No doubt a loan move in Jan. I can't see many prem clubs wanting to take him unless it's one that has had an interest in him in the past. I'd say Forest yet they have Williams.

I wouldn't rule out a loan abroad for 6 months. No point loaning to a champo club as won't help his development.

Just seems a very odd signing. He's been nowhere near the starting 11. I mean he didn't cost buttons. It was a few quid. That said he's on London and making 30-40k a week so probably not overly arsed.
 
Who can really blame Spence going to a champions league club

Every football player backs their ability to able to break into the first team even if they are told they are sitting on the bench to start

Some see it as him just wanting to be in London taking a pay cheque we’re as other will see it that it went a took a challenge and one of the top sides in the country

Good point, forgot about Doherty and also thought he played on the left for some reason.

On paper, he should be ahead of Moura and Kulu, given they're not RWBs at all but shows have far down he is I guess.

Cost us nothing.
Attitude wasn't right so we sold him for a huge profit.

Only downside is that money doesn't look to have been used on the team.
Perhaps finances worse than we know about.
Either way all credit to the boro for this.

They signed Sessengon (sp??) From Fulham when he was flying & after seasons in the reserves is only now getting game time.. Spence may just have to await injuries & cup games before he gets his chance.

I'm sure he's getting seen in training.
