£12.5 is peanuts for his potential... I hope the £2.5m is International rather than England specifically as he may never play for the England senior side... with the number of quality RB's we have..

£4m relate to club performance... better be appearances, not cup wins / runs.. this is Spurs after all.

Market price is only what someone is willing to pay for him. If we had, say, Borussia Dortmund, waiting in the wings indicating they were willing to pay £20m then it's a different matter. Presumably we didn't.

If he was a key player for us who we were happy to keep, we'd no doubt have got more or been able to dig our heels in a bit and hope for other bids. As Mogga would say, it is what it is.

We'll have a better idea this time next year how much he's really worth.

Think most thought at the time £12m was quite modest for Gibson. Looks a good fee now.

Who is complaining or bashing the club? What did the Williams transfer to Forest amount to? £18 or £19m?

Spence won a spot in Championship team of the season in the same position and league as Williams played in, yet Williams has gone for a bigger fee.

I'm not having a pop at the club, it's just the way circumstances have presented themselves, but it's left us with a lesser fee than most think we should have got.

Nico Williams played in a Euros, few times in the Champions League. Spence has had one good half season in the Championship.
