Spence just completed Spurs medical

Its not very relevent posters comparing transfer prices with what happened in 2015 to 2018 - the market was quite different.

We have to go out and get players with the Spence fee in today's market not the market of 7 years ago etc

The twitter comments are class, never known such a high percentage of people be happy when selling a player who is a supposed asset

What exactly is going on here? Are you looking for an argument?

In no way am I having a go at the club. Like I had said, it's just the way circumstances have presented themselves. It's unfortunate. Perhaps if Spence hadn't been so set on alienating himself from clubs other than Spurs, we might have got more. It's frustration more than anything.

Despite all that I'm just pleased we've manged to shift him on.
I think you were in the wrong room for a arguement ...........as monty Python onces asked :):)

Have we really just got 12.5 million for Djed Spence?
Not bad at all for a guy who cost us nothing and could not get a regular first team place.

Hmmm
Nottingham Forest did get promoted to the premier league and he's easy worth £20-£25m to Spurs.. could easy be a £50m player after next season.

Wilder openly said yesterday that the 'issue' around free is simply because it was a one horse race.

Nobody else wanted him after he made it clear he'd only join spurs. So very little leverage for the selling club (us).

It's completely different if Spurs / Forest / Arsenal and the various other clubs wanted him. They would all be bidding against each other and offering more to secure him.

He clearly wants to return to London. I'm sure I read on a forest twitter comment that he'd bought a house in London.

The easiest deal would have been Forest. Yet it appears despite his 'love' it was never even a option.

And that's it.
And now it's done, we have £12.5m to spend..... hopefully wisely.
3 forwards, CM, LCB and we will be nearly there👍

What we needed was a auction mentality pref with Newcastle involved , but it was not to be , so we got what we could , bloke did not help by saying only spurs etc ...but with him its expected .....we will soon see if he can defend at a higher level than he has ever played thus far , if he cuts out the ball watching , he may cope ok

Juninho did exactly the same thing. Said he only wanted to sign for Athletico Madrid when we had better offers on the table from elsewhere.

Just been reading some of the Facebook comments on a Forest page.

The bitterness is quite evident. They're "not bothered" anymore as they've now "upgraded with a better player".
No more taunting Boro fans.
Not like they weren't told. Looks like the penny has dropped.

Apologies for being out of the loop.
But the deal is not actually officially done yet is it? (I'm getting the jitters that we'll actually never be shot of the lad!)

I think he'll flop and it'll look like we've had Spurs' eyes out.

Everything you hear about him suggests he's mentally weak, can't handle criticism and is clearly only interested in himself. Back to London = more distractions too?

Cooper has worked wonders with him. Conte is a quality manager but doesn't strike me as the type to suffer fools or mollycoddle fragile egos. He won't have the time to give Spence the attention he probably needs.

(He'll probably be a regular for England this time next year now I've said all that).

Been pictured in a Spurs top; there's a picture circulating of him sitting in a studio with it on. So must be 99% sorted - Gibson waiting for the cheque to clear.

Pulis - Ryan Shotton

Woodgate - Jonny Howson

Warnock - Anfernee Dijksteel

Wilder - Isaiah Jones

Cooper - Neco Williams

I wonder how long it will take for the penny to drop with Spurs?

his love and his joy at winning promotion was purely for himself and he knew he would be playing in the prem, and earning prem wages
