South Stand Banners Today

"F*** sky sports" (even though we want to become a PL football club funded by sky sports)
Exactly.

**** Sky Sports even though they’ve contributed massively to the domestic game improving and moving away from the awful spectacle of the 80’s. **** Sky Sports even though the coverage has been good for sports such as boxing, rugby Union and league, darts and others.

Why are people expecting more from RF today? Supporting is not just about displays.

Im not even going to bother putting my point across to people who believe Sky Sports have made football better.

Well done RF voicing opinions. Nice to see people putting out their thoughts in public and not just on the internet. RIghtly so in my eyes too in regards to the police. Their treatment of York fans, and general football fans, is nothing but disgraceful.

The banners against Spirit of 37 need no comment.

Regarding Sky.

Go back to hooliganism, angry men only crowds, awful stadiums and poorer football.

But yeah, playing a game on Sunday at noon is ruining football.

The two main chants today

1. We hate Sunderland. Instead of supporting our own team, this was sung repeatedly. Not exactly going to motivate our players (especially the Mackem forward).

2. A song that referenced threw players who weren't in the squad, with the name of the manager substituted for that of his predecessor it was first used for.

Agree the early kickoff didn't help but how about just backing the lads on the pitch?

RF and the majority of the south stand have sang **** sky sports every game since I dont know when, maybe belted out louder today due to being made to go watch football at 12pm on a Sunday.

Again, not going to get into the why sky sports have done whatever to football argument.

Fair enough.

Agree with this. At times the ground seemed to go really quiet.

Also, I don’t get the **** Sky Sports chant. Sky have been brilliant for sport in general in Britain.
Sky have created the monster which has led to bang average players being paid 5m a year
Sky have a total disregard for genuine football fans with their ridiculous scheduling,I honestly think football was way better before Sky

Bang average? You must be world class to state that. Any player capable of being professional is definitely not bang average.

If you think football was better in crap stadiums, with awful pitches and aggressive crowds, I seriously doubt your perspective.

Its a derby game, if you think that fans arnt going to chant about the opposition fans then im not sure how you have been brought up to support a team.

I do agree with that fans shouldnt chant about the opposition fans etc and focus on their own team, but obviously it depends on the situation.

I guess you mean the Oh Wilder/Carrick Said chant? Im with you in thinking a chant shouldnt be changed to stay relevant, but I guess you never said anything when all 4 stands were singing it v Chelsea, because for sure i was f**king belting it out as usual.

I can only give my opinion from the South, but the atmosphere today seemed on trend.
