I know Cleveland Police have a terrible reputation, but what was the reason behind the banner?

I'm guessing it was the events at Hartlepool v York. York fans claiming police brutality.

I read yesterday on the MFC website that they had been fans arrested for having pyros in the ground and at Chelsea. I wonder if this is anything to do with it.

It wasn't just the banners, there seemed to be more effort going into the anti sky sports chanting than songs actually in support of the team.

It was one of the flattest Boro v Sunderland games I've been to. Although I know the early kick off doesn't help as everyone seems to be half asleep. Really hate Boro being involved in any lunchtime kick off games.

Agree with this. At times the ground seemed to go really quiet.

Also, I don’t get the **** Sky Sports chant. Sky have been brilliant for sport in general in Britain.

The atmosphere has been terrible at quite a few 3pm Saturday games this season. That is nothing to do with Sky.

So for our derby this season our most prominent fan group did 2 banners, neither of which related to our club and which 99% of our fans would have no clue as to what they were referencing? Good stuff

Some things are bigger than a poor game of football. Not sure what it was all about but i am sure it will come out.
