The thing is we've needed another striker since the summer and you can't tell me they is not any player in the world we can't get that would improve our attack

Was just about to say its not just for a few weeks. We definitely needed one in the summer. And since then neither Lath or Coburn have scored enough and they have also left us short when they have been out injured.

The criteria is probably fairly strict.
- younger than 25
- pacey
- technically sound
- available at under 4m
- has potential to be a 20m player within 3 years
- few injuries
- good character
- English speaking

Why not young strikers on loan from premier league clubs like another balagun.
On Josh, he seems to be split on opinions and granted he hasn't got majestic returns this season but his job in the team is far more important when our look at the stats of games played and won with and without Josh.
Plus he hasn't exactly missed a clutch of guilt edge chances to my knowledge.
He also scored a very good goal against Rotherham but for a dubious offside decision on crooks.
He is learning and isn't the finished article but is a good player who will keep improving.
I also think both coburn and lath would benefit from a change of system whereby the both play as a two together, now that would be a difficult partnership to manage for any Champo defence.
As Carrick said, I dint think we could get the player we wanted, so not signing someone for the sake of it.
We have a very talented group of players and if they can all get fit and stay fit we are as good as anyone in the chasing pack/5 and 6.
Coburn to my knowledge hasn't really missed any sitters and the ones lath has missed he has created himself, it's the players behind the forward he tend to miss the chances the most but with hopefully Forss and Mcgree back that will change as both are an upgrade in that department (finishing) over any of the players we have been playing.
Even though we all get emotionally distracted, if we think back from the beginning of the season all players who are regularly criticised, engel, barlaser, Greenwood, Rogers, silvera, Crooks have all had major contributions to games goals & assists that have put is in the position we are in not to far from the play offs and a semi final of the cup.
Granted we are not where we want to be but there are positives, we score in most games but defensively we give away cheap goals as a team, either by not closing down, bad decision making are terrible marking at corners, this is a big area of our game that needs attention IMO

Really disappointed not signing a striker or cover for Jones. The team now lacks pace and we have been a striker short all season. Really good point earlier about having to rusk people back as we haven’t got cover which then results in more injuries. If Coburn gets injured we are really struggling with Lath weeks away and Jones further. Poor by the club.
That would mean Norwich beat Coventry, Watford and Hull both lost at home, and Boro beat Sunderland.
You'd get long odds on all that happening.

I think if Manuel Benson had come then Alex Gilbert would have went out on loan.

Probably why we have never seen Coburn and Lath as a pair.
Late on when chasing the game would have been a great option.
Another striker would have given us so many different options.
Also Coburn could have had his hernia op months ago and be back fully fit now.

We are not still a striker short. We went for Tommy Cannon and we ended up sticking with Josh Coburn.
