So Lath is a few weeks away....

A bit of a shambles really that we never signed cover when we actually needed to improve the strikeforce.
Azez does not look like a replacement for Rogers to me.

The play offs look a distant dream. Keep hearing that we are building for next season but we have a few loans that will be gone. The likes of Silvera are not good enough and we will start again on the merrygoround during the close season. Sadly! I think without Carrick as I think he will move on.

Jeez! Someone's been drinking the glass half empty hooch.

It's very easy to slag the club and say they should have brought someone in, but look around, most clubs struggle to bring players in these days. Getting transfers over the line is hard and complicated and for strikers doubly so as everyone needs a player who scores goals. I'm sure the club tried to get a striker in, but couldn't do it and I'd rather we wait for the right one than blow the dough on Mr Average.

We've got this far with 2 CFs who have been injured on and off all season. 3 points off the playoffs and a league cup Semi. We will just have to carry on as best we can.

We have had some horrific injuries. To be without Mcgree and Forss for so long has cost us. It would any champo team.

Forss is now fit. Also looks to have come back without any adverse effects. Mcgree will be like a 'new signing'.

I don't think not getting a CF in will effect us to much. The issue of only having 2 is that both have arguably been rushed back causing even more injuries.

Yet I'm happy with our new business model. We could easily have brought someone in for big money or wages this month. Yet would they 'fit?'. Value for money? Or go at it in the summer. I feel had we been in with a remote chance of automatic then we'd probably have brought in an expensive loan (Archer type). Yet not worth a couple of mil loan fee and wages in current position.

When he came back on I thought it must have been a dead leg rather than a pull/strain as there's no way you send someone back on to 'run off' a pulled muscle.
He was totally caught cold by the shove and he was at an odd angle as he stumbled and pulled up mid stagger ( it looked really nasty) so to see him return was a shock.

I said at the time I’ll be amazed if he’s comes back any time soon - sadly looks like the case.

Ridiculous decision not to bring someone in. Injuries like lattes are exactly the reason to use the loan market. I can see forss being over used and getting injured if we are not careful and we could be down to dilbert

Who would you have liked us to have signed?

Obviously easier to ket them go as we managed to let two go.

To sign players we don’t really want, because the ones we do want weren’t for sale in January?
How do you know that you are just guessing like we all are really. Even the Gazette said we were looking to bring in a CF but there was no one even mentioned.

So you think the strikers we’ve had an eye on and wanted to sign were actually available, but we just thought “Nahhh, let’s not bother.” ??

That would make no sense.

Try reading Carricks own words and stop making things up 🔽

* ps: The Gazette isnt a reliable source to wrap your chips in.

“I`ve said to you before about buying players for the sake of a few weeks is not always the answer and, for us, bringing players into the group…...its vital….they got to improve you, they got to be the right ones for different reasons. So its not a case of just bringing someone in just [as a] stop-gap or for filling a slot. They have to really improve us and there has to be a really good reason for that.”

The gaffer has summed it up perfectly, there
