Then I assume international travel with more green countries going on the list will go out the window?

Wondering if my early July Mallorca trip is about as likely as a boro promotion !

Ryanair from Teesside also

Tough one but maybe it won’t affect the green list. June 21st is a decision on how the virus is in this country, the green list is how the virus is in that particular country. Hope you manage to get away

If it is put back its because of the Indian varient...
And why have we got the Indian varient?
Because ladies and gentlemen, we have a bunch of fkn clowns in charge of the country.....
And the blonde bomshell called Keir Starmer Captain hindsight....you really couldnt make it up what these bstrds are getting away with

I think we're heading for a right old sh1t storm. The delay is likely to be between 2 and 4 weeks. By 21st June everyone over 50 will have received two doses (well those who've come forward anyway). Add 3 weeks to this date, which is the period it is said the vaccine takes to become fully effective, and we're looking at a revised date of 12th July with a review one week previous.

The review one week previous where they add on another 4 weeks.

They are hoping the Euros will distract people enough and they are probably right unfortunately.

I think in this instance the most significant objections will come from a number of Tory backbenchers. Johnson will have no alternative but to listen to them.

Doesn't matter. It's already been leaked to the media so it's already happening.

Judgement is still far away.

This is the last hope of Johnson finally having to answer some questions, Brady and the 1922 Committee will not let the lockdown be pushed backed without a fight.

What a 5hitty country we live in when we are relying on tory backbenchers to offer hope😩

It's not exactly a lockdown. As much as I agree with the anti government sentiment to call our current situation a lockdown is an exaggeration

The danger is, if things take a turn for the worse here, other countries might not want us coming in.

Yeah, I think Iv mentioned it before but that's the problem I face. I have a holiday booked at the end of the year to a green list country. Said country won't have us though. To be fair they aren't taking anyone but yeah countries will look at our disease and think "no thanks"

I just don't get it.

75% of the country vaccinated against the virus, including this D strain.

News said today, just 13 new people admitted to hospital with covid yesterday, compared with 600 with bowel cancer.

People not had jab said they don't need it.

Why the delay?

Cases are rising quickly, hospitalisations are up

What are the backbencher motivations for their objections, economy, civil liberties, surely they are also guided by the science??

I think to question whether restrictions should be extended is missing the point. The data tells us the virus is once again on the rise and that even the vaccinations are proving effective the whole country is not yet vaccinated so delaying the lifting of restrictions by 4 weeks probably makes sense.

But the most important issue is why we are in this situation and it is all down to not putting India on the red list when we first had the opportunity, this government love all to see people debating about the rights and wrongs of delaying the lifting of restrictions as it means the real question is not being asked!!!
